On Saturday, Sept. 16, the “Single Soon” star shared new selfie photos with Taylor Swift on Instagram. The pair were all smiles as they posed for the camera. “Thas my best frien -she a real bad,” Gomez captioned her post, referencing Saweetie’s 2021 single “Best Friend” featuring Doja Cat. In the first photos, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift lean their heads against each other as they smile to take a selfie. In the second photo, Gomez puckers her lips to the camera as Swift gives her a kiss on the cheek. They appeared to take their selfies while meeting up for dinner at an outdoor restaurant. There are tables and chairs surrounding them, as well as people passing by. The restaurant seemed to be located right by the ocean.
Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift also made headlines recently for flaunting their friendship at the 2023 MTV VMAs. On Tuesday, Sept. 12, the stars traveled to Newark, New Jersey, to attend the show at the Prudential Center. Swift won nine awards throughout the night, including Artist of the Year. Meanwhile, Gomez won Best Afrobeats for “Calm Down” in collaboration with Rema. The pair took several photos together during the show.
Gomez looked beautiful in a red floral dress by Oscar de la Renta. Swift also looked gorgeous in a black Versace gown that featured a thigh-high slit.
After the VMAs, Gomez and Swift continued the fun by attending an after-party. Both stars traded their long gowns for short mini dresses. The Only Murders in the Building actress opted for a purple dress, while the “Anti-Hero” singer donned a blue denim dress.
